Panthers on The Prowl

CLARINGTON -- The Pak Mail Panthers overcame an opening game loss to Orono to take the Clarington Recreational Hockey  League Atom Division championship this season. Orono was able to win the first game with a great team effort.

In the second game, Kevin Barsanti opened the scoring for the Panthers with an end-to-end goal. Orono answered back with a goal to tie up the game, but on a rebound from Patrick Rainbow's shot, Carter Pedersen scored the go-ahead goal for the Panthers.
The team was able to hold on for the win, thanks to a great effort by star goalie Dylan Griffin, and strong defensive teamwork.

With the series tied 1-1, the teams played a sudden-death overtime. Only 30 seconds in, a blistering wrist shot by Marshall MacDuff gave the Panthers the victory and the championship title.

The Pak Mail Panthers' dedicated team members include Graham Evans, Brandon Thertell, Carter Pedersen, Gregory Layng, Liam Potter, Brandon Swenor, Marshall MacDuff, Kevin Barsanti, Quinton Potter, Hailey Venedam, Ethan Cook, Patrick Rainbow, Matthew McRobbie and Dylan Griffin.
